Super MNC Beta

So i just received an invite to the Super MNC Beta from a Friend and I thought i would do a quick review.

My first thoughts of this game is its not too bad but does have a close resemblance to Team Fortress 2 but with more of a sporty and tactical feel to it as there is more that just the standard team death match or capture the flag.

Game Play
so when you want to start playing you have to wait a fair amount of time to acctually find a game, one you have found one you are placed into the lobby where all the players get to choose what chracter thay want to play as, to begin with you only have a few chracter to choose from such as a woman with a sniper rifle, a guy who looks like the man from the 'rocketeer' who has a sword and a guerilla with a chain gun, once you have ranked up or have payed money you will unlock other characters.

there can only be one of each character in the game so choose fast if you want to be a specif character, once every is ready to play the game begins and you are dumped straight into the action and the huge battle begis.

The main goal of this game is to destroy all of the opposing teams turrets and defenses so that you can transport a magical ball to there central hub and blow it up (Just like pushing the kart in TF2 but with less excitement), on the way to the opposing teams base you can buy robots and more turrets to help defend or attack using in game Dollars that you collect from killing other players or destroying robots and turrets.

its set in 3rd person and the camera angles are a bit naff as they seem to fixed just behind the sholder of your chracter.

Tactics and community
well in most of the matches I have played of this game every one has pretty much done there own thing and seems like not many people want to actually team up and try to win the game, oh well another game community full of noobs and kids.

After game
when you have finished the match you are taken back to the lobby and awarded experience and in game money.
The experience ranks you up so that you can unlock more chratsers to play as or unlock new items to buy in the shop.
The money that you have been awarded will allow you to buy new items such as weapons, camouflage or buffs

Hardware and software Requirements
not a peticually hig spec game as the reccomend requirments are,
OS- XP SP3, Vista or 7
CPU - 2Ghz or higher
Memory - 1GB or higher
V-Memory - 512MB with 3D shader 3.0 or higher
DirectX - 9 or higher
HDD - 2GB

The graphics are pretty basic but they look quite nice , quite like a comic book.

Overall
Personally this game is not amazing, good fun for a while but after a couple of matches i felt as i had play enough and seen all that is offered.

You can gain more information on this game here through steam and there is instruction on how to gain access to the beta.

Mari0

This indie game is a renewed version of the classic 1985 super Mario Bros. mixed up with the very popular game portal. This means you get the same great Mario but now he is powered up with his portal gun that shoots working portals. This game has a cross section of levels from both portal and super Mario with a level editor and also downloadable maps

Also for all you valve hat fans out there this game has also 33 hats that you can make Mario wear sadly though when Mario gets a power up your hat does disappear and you can also turn Mario into a different colour if the classic Mario is not your thing .this game also has 4 player coop if you mates want to join in the fun.

so if you want to get nostalgic and play this highly famous and addictive game you can download it from here for any OS:Mari0

Saints row: The Third

So in my option last year was the year of games as so many great games came out at the same time last year. one of these great games that everybody wanted to play was Saints Row: the Third. this was the sequel to the other two games that had gone before it.this game finds the saints at the height of there fame and another mob company wanting to take them out to he reduces there company to nothing and you have to take it back.

This crazy game has been compared to Grand theft auto as you are mob boss who has to complete tasks to gain respect and more money.but this game is more random than all of the grand theft auto put together in that the clothes and weapons you can purchase. although through all this randomness it still manages to retain a strong (and sometimes crazy) story line but if you don't have to stick to it if you don't want as there are so many side quests.

So if you are just looking for some crazy fun or unleash some anger or even something to play with your mates this is the perfect game. two DLC's have been released already and another is due to be released on the 28th of February.

You can purchase the game here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_6?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=saints+row+the+third&sprefix=saints%2Caps%2C257
or it can be found on the steam store for PC gamers.

If you have any questions or comments put them in the box bellow and we will respond to all of them!

Realm of the Mad God

Realm of the Mad God, so just downloaded this game from Steam and it seems pretty good from first impressions.

It is a MMO RPG based in a open world with nice ol' pixelated graphics.

So the game starts with a tutorial as usual, it runs you through every thing you need to know to play the game and gets you used to the controls, once you have run through the tutorial you get dropped straight into the open world and the game begins!

Once you are free from the tutorial you are straight into the action, surrounded by enemies and other players are are instantly needed to "Flee or Fight" and the true adventure begins.

Questing- not like typical RPG games, you do not need to go and search for hours and accept quests then wait around for other players for help like you would in other MMO games who will remain unnamed *COUGH WOW *COUGH , as the quests in Realm of the Mad God are based on killing "boss" monsters that spawn randomly in the map, as they spawn a message pops up on one of the sides of the screen depending on which direction the "boss" is in and will move about the sides until the "boss" has been killed.

Levelling- this is pretty much the same as every RPG, you gain experience by killing monsters , less for low level monsters and more for killing higher level monsters.
one you have leveld up you gain a few more HP and Mana points and have to start the grind all over again.

Items and inventory - every now and then a enemy will drop a "bag" that contains random items, these items range from potions to armour and weapons.
To begin with you only have 6 slots in your back pack and every couple of levels it increases.

Personally I rate this game quite highly for a free indie game and is alto of fun but does become rather repetitive after a few hours of playing it.
